Blazing Star Environmental and Toadally Restored believe that fostering diversity in the environmental sector brings a diverse set of knowledge and perspectives to our sector and is crucial for ongoing and sustained successful conservation of the world we all share. We recognize that many groups of people face disproportionate barriers. To partially address barriers faced by underrepresented groups, including BIPOC, LGBTQ2IA+, and students, we are offering three (3) registrations at a discounted rate ($1000+HST) to individuals from these communities. We are actively looking into ways to further reduce barriers to participating in our course for underrepresented groups in future years.
Applicants interested in taking advantage of this initiative are welcome to self-identify below as part of any of the following groups: BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or students. You are not required to specify to which you belong to take advantage of this opportunity.
To ensure a fair selection process, all eligible applications received during the period of June 19, 2026 to July 17, 2026 will be entered into a draw, and three individuals will be randomly chosen to receive the discounted course price. The six randomly selected individuals will be notified on July 22, 2026.
Payment is only necessary upon receipt of the confirmation email indicating whether you have been selected for the half price registration. If you are not selected, you will have the option to proceed with the course at the regular price if still interested.
