This course is first come, first served and spots are limited. To register you must fill out and submit this registration form. Please wait until you receive email confirmation for your registration before proceeding with payment. Once we process your registration, we will send out a confirmation of registration email to you directly, then you may proceed with payment.
Course Fee
The survey course fee is $950 + HST and covers all course materials, instruction, meals and accommodation. Participants are required to find their own transportation for the field component of the course.

To improve access to the course and to reduce carbon emissions, a group carpool website will be setup for all participants.
We recognize that many groups of people face disproportionate and systemic barriers to participation in the conservation sector. To partially address barriers faced by underrepresented groups to participate in our course, including BIPOC, LGBTQ2IA+, and students, we are offering four (4) half price registrations ($475+HST) to individuals from these communities. We are actively looking into ways to further reduce barriers for underrepresented groups in future years.
Applicants interested in taking advantage of this initiative are welcome to self-identify below as part of any of the following groups: BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or students. You are not required to specify to which group you belong.
To ensure a fair selection process, all eligible applications received during the period of March 4 to April 8, 2024 will be entered into a draw, and four individuals will be randomly chosen to receive the discounted course price. The four randomly selected individuals will be notified on April 9, 2024. If you are not selected, you will have the option to proceed with the course at the regular price if you are still interested. In that case, your spot in the course will be reserved until April 16 so you have time to determine if you wish to proceed with the full priced registration. If we do not receive confirmation by April 16, we will open your spot to the waitlist, as the course usually fills up quickly.

Payment
Payment Deadline: Wednesday, May 8, 2024
Once you have submitted your registration form and received a confirmation email, you will be redirected to make your payment by credit card within the website. You will also have the option to pay by email money transfer or cheque.

Receipts for payment will be emailed to each participant. If you wish to have a printed receipt, please let Maureen Jackson at training@blazingstar.ca know and one will be provided at the course.
Payment Refunds
We can issue full refunds up to Wednesday, May 8.
From Thursday, May 9 to Wednesday, May 15, partial refunds are available in the amount of:
75% for regular-priced registrations ($950+HST)
60% for half-priced registrations ($475+HST)
After Wednesday, May 15, refunds are no longer available as we will not be able to fill your space in the course. Paid registration may be transferred from one participant to another if all the appropriate registration information for the new participant is provided by Wednesday, May 15.
